Favorite Places to Eat:

Cali + Titos Quesadillas

Cali & Tito's - yummy local Mexican food (2 locations in Athens, 1 for more casual outdoor dining on campus and 1 with larger indoor seating farther from campus).

Taste of India - good Indian food place, well priced, not sure how authentic it is, but it's a good find for Athens (coming from ATL that has amazing food).

Mama's Boy - cutest little brunch spot ever! Has parking and is only a short drive from downtown Athens. Great food, good vibes.

Ted's Most Best - I love this place because it is so well priced, located centrally downtown, and as a student on a budget it works great for me. It also has a cute kids play area outside, and both indoor and outdoor seating. Don't expect the most amazing food ever, but the price point and location can't be beat for Italian food downtown.

Canes - coming from Atlanta where there currently is no Canes, I was so excited to get to have one of my favorite fast food restaurants in town! I know this is a chain, but I am a big Canes fan.

Favorite Outdoor Walking Trail/Parks:

Wiggly Field Dog Park

Walker Park - hiking paths through a wooded area, huge splash park for kids, ballpark, sports courts, playground.

Wiggly Field - huge dog park (three separate ones of various sizes) that has walking trails in the woods behind it. I love the walking trails because they are fully shaded so not too hot in the summer months.

Favorite Indoor Activities/Places:

Foxglove Plantbar - coffee, bar, plant store, terrarium making. the cutest place to grab a coffee and make plant terrariums with your friends or significant other! Also dog friendly!

Mother Lode - antique store, dog friendly. when it is raining or super hot outside, my dog and I love to walk around in the store to find treasures and get in some good sniffs!

Junk in the Trunk - vintage market. also has lots of furniture like dressers. huge warehouse, lots of great finds.

Rook & Pawn - games, coffee, beverages. pay a $7 fee to play any and all games on their gianormous game shelf; grab a coffee/drink from the bar and play!

Ciné - local nonprofit-run movie theatre, the lab viewing room is my favorite because it has comfy couches.

Duke's and Dottie's - line dancing bar downtown. so much fun! plus they have line dancing lessons where they teach you 2 new dances at the beginning of every night. I can't claim to be a good dancer, but I have fun trying!
